I can’t believe Alexandrov would put Belokobylskaya on his list of ten athletes with an Olympic chance over Pavlova…

…when Pavs consistently performs better than both of them! Granted Pavs is a little past her prime but Belo at Jesolo was a hot mess. Pavs doesn’t have her old difficulty or execution but at least she hits!

I still think it’ll easily be Musty, Komova, Afan and Grishina, and then probably Demy in the last spot. I think Nabs is over it, based on Alexandrov’s thoughts abouther.

Whatever happened to Kurbatova, btw? Did she retire and I just never read about it? I feel like she just disappeared.

Russian Championships: results of today's competition

Mustafina won, Afanasyeva 2nd, then Grishina, Inshina and Pavlova!

We can’t really compare the scores with those of other international competitions because the russians give bonus for some routines (but I don’t know which ones)

Anyway, I’m happy Aliya is competing AA again, and Afan is second! Also good for Pavlova, still among the best, wouldn’t it be great if she made the Olympics team? (I doubt she will, but I’ll stop dreaming about it when they announce the official team!)

Komova, Nabieva, Sidorova and Dementyeva didn’t compete.

Pavs competed??? OMG I MISS HER.
